The year 2002 saw the opening of a modern terminal, a three-storied building designed to host over six million passengers per year. This terminal is divided into four areas; ground floor, plan 1 (arrivals), departures and plan 2. The ground floor is mainly dedicated for Arrivals, the 1st floor for check-in and Departures, while the 2nd is allocated for the offices and VIP lounges. The traveler will find most airport services and traveler convenience facilities at the ground and 1st floors.

The Ground Floor

The Arrivals area on the ground floor hosts a great number of customer points for different service providers. Here you will find Ali Laguna – ATVO, Cooperative RadioTaxi, and several car hire companies including Auto Europa, Autotravel- Sixt, Avis Car Rental, Budget, Easy Car, Europcar Italy, Hertz, Italy by Car –Thrifty, Targa Rent and Lacauto.

You will also find the offices of the Association of Hoteliers in Venice – Venice Yes, traveler help points such as the Lost Baggage section for documentation or withdrawal of lost luggage,  Baggage Claim, Coordination arrivals area, hospitality desk, KSC Tour & Travels, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, SAVE office information for issues related to flights and lost children, First Aid Border Police, money points such as Bank of Rome, Forex Bureau,  Italian Post, restaurants such as Cafe Marco Polo, rest points such as MSC Crociere Spa, as well as a travelers lounge, the Travelex. Others include the Bucintoro, Gi.Ma.Venice, Cooperative Trasbagagli, Sailing, Company of Motorways of Venice and Padua, Oltrex and HUB (a multimedia area for business travelers).

Plan 1 (Arrivals)

In this area you will find the check-in area and X-ray screening, ticket desks for airlines such as Air Berlin, Air France, Alitalia, Delta, Lufthansa and US AIRWAYS, and financial institutions such as the Banca Antonveneta and Savings Bank of Venice. Other businesses and service points found here include Tour Groups, HUB, The Garden, SAFE BAG and Tax Free.


This area hosts a good number of cafes and shopping points. The cafes include the Coffee Pot, Cafe Marco Polo, Worship Cafe and Chocolate. Shops and stores include the de Canto wine bars, Elite Duty Free and Elite Travel Retail, Giochi Preziosi store, the Workshop of Flavors, Glass SEGUSO, Belluro, Wellness, Football Corner, Golden Point, The Saints, Boggi, The Pearl, Rays of Silk, Murphy & Nye, Swatch, Spalding Brothers, Sala Friend, Stefanel, Venetia Studium, Vogart, Velleverde, Vittorio and Zoccai. Amenities found in this area include an information point, passport control, HUB, the central, north and south waiting rooms, transits, and a minor hall/nursery.

The Plan 2

This area mainly hosts the offices of various state bodies and airlines. Nonetheless, you will also find the VIP lounge which is meant for SkyTeam passengers and the Marco Polo Club – a VIP lounge for passengers from other airlines. There is also another Travelex plus the Hall of Worship and Terrace.
